Panthers GM fairly quiet on morning of Panarin visit

Florida Panthers President and GM, Dale Tallon went on a local radio station to talk about the offseason. With Artemi Panarin and Sergei Bobrovsky there for a meeting today, we thought it would be interesting to see what he had to say.

The biggest take away is that Tallon didn’t speak about any UFA by name. But his comments were focused on being aggressive in the market, going after a goalie and looking to improve all positions.

When he was asked about selling the Panthers to UFA’s he stressed how they have a great young nucleus, a desire to win, and the very popular; no state income tax.

Last item of note, he was asked about the rumors around the team. His response was pretty standard in that he doesn’t pay attention to them. Yet, he added some are right and others are a complete shot in the dark.

As we confirmed the original TFP report yesterday, Panarin will be in NYC tomorrow. Some good news, it will be a nice sunny day in Manhattan. Enough of this rain already.

Update: 10:57AM

Looks like Panarin and Bobrovsky heading to NY together today.
