Rangers Roundup: Kakko arrives, and Panarin watch

Kaapo Kakko has made his way to New York for the upcoming prospects camp. In a very cool moment, he was greeted at the airport by a small group of Rangers fans cheering his name.

He signed some autographs and took a few pictures before heading into the City and doing some interviews.

Artemi Panarin arrived in Florida last night and is expected to meet with the Panthers later this week. Adrian Dater confirmed that Panarin’s agent was in town yesterday and met with the Avalanche to discuss their interest in his client. Paul Theofanous also represents Avs goalie Seymon Varlamov

As far as the Rangers are concerned, when I asked them they didn’t confirm or deny. I reached out to the Panarin camp and I have not heard back from them. The bottom line is this, based on all the speculation leading up to now from all the league insiders, we can safely assume they will meet.

That doesn’t mean Panarin will sign here.
