Aggressive Bruins reset targets on Rangers, Kevin Hayes

The Boston Bruins are being very aggressive at the deadline in order to make a Cup run in the Spring. It appears their primary target is Ottawa’s Mark Stone but should that fail then Kevin Hayes may be next on the list.

Regarding @NYP_Brooksie report that #NHLBruins will be all in on #GoSensGo W Mark Stone, I don't doubt it, but as of now a.) price too high and b.) I'm told, as reported by others, #GoJetsGo are frontrunners.

Further on @NYP_Brooksie report that #NHLBruins all in on #GoSensGo F Mark Stone, just followed up on cost and I'm told, it's likely a 1st, DeBrusk, and then the likes of Donato, Heinen or JFK. If they're all in on that, good luck when Stone doesn't sign here!@BruinsCLNS

As per Jimmy Murphy, the package for Stone is extremely high and on top of that, Winnipeg appears to be the front runner for his services.

Was just about to fall asleep and got a call from a trusted source telling me "#NHLBruins ready to try the Hayes family again! B's are frontrunners for #NYR C Kevin Hayes if they miss out on Stone or Panarin."

In fairness, Hayes is not on the level of Stone or Panarin so one can safely assume that the package won’t be as big. More likely the Rangers could easily grab Boston’s first round pick and a player like Donato not DeBrusk.

At this time, Boston sits 4th overall in the NHL and their pick would likely be anywhere between 27th to 30th overall. Ergo why they need to give up a significant player/prospect in a Hayes trade.
