Alexandar Georgiev back in net against defending Champ Blues

Alexandar Georgiev will get right back at it this week against the defending champion St. Louis Blues. David Quinn today worked his troops at the MSG training center in preparation for the 3 game home stand.

Alexandar Georgiev has posted a 4-2-0 record with a 2.64 GAA and a .926 SV% in his last six appearances. He has established a career-high in wins this season (16). Georgiev has won 13 games when making at least 30 saves this season; his 13 different 30-save wins are tied for the fifth-most in the NHL in 2019-20.

The Blueshirts usually respond well after a loss. Although that wasn’t the case yesterday, the Rangers are 18-7 in their last 25 games after a defeat. Per the Rangers PR Dept, they are 12-4 in their last 16 when following a loss on home ice. This could loom large as the Rangers want to reassert themselves as playoff contenders with the next three games at home this week. (3/3 STL, 3/5 WSH, 3/7 NJ)
