BREAKING: Henrik Lundqvist will start today, Shesterkin is unfit to play

In some wild news, Igor Shesterkin has been deemed unfit to play. Due to no word on injuries, all we know is that he is day to day.

Henrik Lundqvist gets the start

  • Henrik Lundqvist – 46 GP, 33-12-1, 2.00 GAA, .934 SV%, 2 SO – Lundqvist has posted a 10-1-0 record, along with a 1.64 GAA and a .956 SV% in his last 11 appearances against the Hurricanes; he has allowed two goals or fewer in 10 of the 11 appearances, including one goal in five of those games.
  • In his last 28 appearances against Carolina (dating back to Feb. 22, 2011), Lundqvist has posted a 24-4-0 record, along with a 1.73 GAA, a .947 SV%, and 1 SO. Lundqvist has earned more wins against the Hurricanes than any other NHL goaltender since he entered the NHL in 2005-06.
