Breaking: NHLPA voting on 24 Team Playoff proposal

News is breaking that the NHLPA is voting on the proposed 24 Team Playoff with conference brackets as we wrote this morning. The NHLPA is expected to finalize the vote by tomorrow and then work with the league on details.

NHLPA Exec Board is voting on return to play proposal. (24 teams, top 4 teams per conference play each other, 16 teams have a play in round). If vote passes additional details to be negotiated with the NHL. Voting process likely completed by tomorrow night.

Updated: Just spoke with a league executive, was told NHLPA vote will pass and NHL draft not happening in June. Will be in September.
