AV chooses vets on defense as Rangers resume hockey after the break
Dan Girardi and Kevin Klein are back in and I for one am glad to see them both. Of course, I’m not particularly thrilled with scratching Dylan McIlrath instead of say, Dan Boyle or Marc Staal.
Let’s face it, Staal won’t be benched for a multitude of reasons, none of which are his stellar defensive play this season. Dan Boyle on the other hand has actually been playing well and contributing offensively for the Rangers on the PP.
Still, the lack of Keith Yandle in the power play continues to baffle me as well as many others.
DO YOU AGREE? Sound off in the comments section.
AV on McIlrath being out: “No doubt Dylan has played well for us. Putting those 2 veteran guys in…is the right thing to do at this point.”

I should clarify: Lundqvist starting at Preds. I just meant Raanta healthy enough to back him up #NYR. Hellberg, Summers were sent back Wed
