Being out is a pain in the neck for Henrik Lundqvist
15 games and counting now for Henrik Lundqvist. The King sure is busy these days making goalie masks with celebrities and appearing on LIVE with Kelly and Michael yesterday.
However today, he just released this tweet to give an update on his status.

Yesterday, Lundqvist revealed on LIVE that his vascular injury wasn’t from a puck to the throat but from whipping his neck backwards. When Michael Strahan asked how’s he’s feeling, Lundqvist said, “I feel good.”
“It’s hard to know how a blood vessel heals,” Lundqvist continued. “As soon as they (doctors) clear me for contact, I want to be ready to play.” Then when Kelly Ripa wondered how it happened, Lundqvist revealed more than we had heard before.
“It was a freaky accident. A stick came up and lifted my helmet, at the same time I got hit by the puck on my neck,” Lundqvist explained. “In that moment I snapped my neck so hard that I sprained a blood vessel in my neck,” as he was pointing to the back right portion of his neck.
Henrik then reiterated his thankfulness for the team of doctors looking after him and stressed patience.
