Kreider’s injury will probably keep him out of the lineup for an extended period of time. This will give Vinni Lettieri, who was called up today in response to the injury, a bit of time to show Rangers brass what he can do. Hopefully, this is a one-time thing for Kreider, as we’ve seen former Rangers forward Pascal Dupuis have to retire due to blood clots during the 2015-16 NHL season.
NYR announce Chris Kreider has a spontaneous blood clot. Out indefinitely. Arm felt strange and got worse after 1st period, so they pulled him and sent him to the hospital.
