Breaking: NHL and NHLPA agree to open training camps on July 10th

News is coming over the wire that the NHL and its Players Association have agreed to start Phase 3 on July 10th. This signals an early August start to the Qualifying Rounds and a Stanley Cup Final in September. To be clear, this is based on the rumored talks that training camps will last three weeks. Should both sides agree to two weeks, the play-in rounds could start earlier.

With NHL training camps on track for July 10, clarity is needed on the 14-day quarantine for those returning to Canada. It's possible quarantine is extended to include the facility where players skate but, if not, we'll likely see some Canadian teams hold camp in the U.S.
