Breaking: Rangers officially loan Vitali Kravtsov to the KHL for the entire season
In a somewhat stunning news, KHL club Traktor has announced that Vitali Kravtsov will spend the entire season with them. It was reported on the initial loan, that the Rangers could recall him at anytime. The two sides must’ve have revisited and worked out the new arrangement.
Vitali Kravtsov to play full KHL season
The translation of the tweet from Traktor reads:
⚡️ Vitaly Kravtsov joined Traktor ⚡️
As part of the “black and white” striker will spend a full season.
Obviously the Rangers have a lot of concern with regards to the start of the NHL season due to COVID-19. It makes no sense to rip him from the KHL in either later November or December, when the KHL season ends in late February.
If Traktor does make the playoffs and goes to the finals, then Kravtsov may not be available to the Rangers until April. Still, that would be about 45-50 games into the 2020-2021 NHL regular season. Meaning Vitali would have plenty of time to prove himself in the NHL.
