BREAKING: Rangers trade Kevin Hayes to Winnipeg Jets

Jeff Gorton has cashed in his biggest chip in Kevin Hayes. The Winnipeg Jets have made their move on the trade market to get them over the top in the playoffs.

This potential WPG-NYR deal is WPG 2019 first-round pick, Brendan Lemieux and a conditional pick in exchange for Kevin Hayes. Believe an agreement is in place but trade call not set yet.

Brendan Lemieux is consider a bottom 6 forward that grinds and provides a spark. The 22 year old is 6’1″ and weighs 210 lbs, he also has 11 points on the year for the Jets.

Side note: He is the son of former NJ Devils and Rangers nemesis, Claude Lemieux.
