DeAngelo and Georgiev involved in altercation
What we could all see at the end of yesterday’s 5-4 loss in OT to the Penguins was ab exhausted threesome. Artemi Panarin, Mika Zibanejad, and DeAngelo were pinned after a long shift and could barely skate by the time Sidney Crosby scored.
However, prior to that Georgiev and DeAngelo had a miscommunication behind the net and failed to clear the puck. Without knowing what specifically happened in the tunnel, one can only assume this was the spark for the dust up which was broken up immediately.

In today’s day an age, rumors travel faster than the speed of light. There’s word that DeAngelo was involved in some altercation with a teammate after the game.
“There’s always rumors, I’m not gonna address rumors,” David Quinn responded. “This isn’t about one incident. It’s not about one thing.”
The Rangers held DeAngelo out of practice to protect the waiver process which sounds like they wouldn’t mind if he was claimed. Georgiev was also not out there today, listed as maintenance.
Quinn noted that the Rangers will have more information that can be revealed in the next 24 hours.
