Dan Boyle Out 4-6 Weeks With Broken Hand
New York Rangers defenseman Dan Boyle will miss the next four to six weeks with a broken hand. He left the bench with just under eighteen minutes left in the third period and didn’t return for the remainder of the game. He’ll be missed as the team doesn’t have a right handed defenseman ready to replace Dan Boyle.
As excited as he was to be here in New York he won’t be playing again for a while as the General Manager may have to put Dan Boyle on Long Term Injured reserve like Derek Stepan.

Four weeks means Boyle would miss 11 games. If it’s six weeks, we’re talking around 18 games.

We wrote way back on 9/24 that a long term injury to the top six may see a recall and insertion into the lineup of Conor Allen. Keep your eyes on the transaction reports tomorrow at noon.
