Etem and McIlrath in for afternoon tilt against Boston

Hopefully the Rangers got all that tryptophan out of their systems from that turkey game they played against Montreal. Knowing it would be a pair of back to backs this weekend, I stated that Dan Boyle would be scratched and so it is.
Dylan McIlrath will take his spot in the lineup today and all he needs to do is keep it simple. I also thought that Alain Vigneault would maybe give Oscar Lindberg a game in the stands, not so much for his bad play Wednesday, but as a learning tool. Instead Viktor Stalberg takes a seat in favor of Emerson Etem.
Time to Fix The Issues
Dan Girardi, a leader on the ice and in the locker room spoke out on the Rangers recent play. The theme to his comments was that their play has been “unlike us”. He spoke about their deficiencies on defense and their very poor decision making.
“We haven’t been playing the best but we’ve been getting the wins,” Girardi noted. “We are a step behind, a little in between, indecisive and it’s like that all over the ice,” the Rangers senior blue-liner explained. “We have to figure out how we can correct that and we get right back at it (in Boston).”
And In Goal…
Henrik Lundqvist will start this contest and Antti Raanta will get the nod against Philly tomorrow.
