Friedman Discusses Rangers Rumors On 31 Thoughts
On the 31 Thoughts Podcast, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman discussed some of the rumors regarding Rangers forwards Chris Kreider and Mats Zuccarello.
Friedman mentioned that if a team is looking to add an edge to their game up front, Chris Kreider would be a player to look at. And while he did acknowledge that the Rangers rebuild may not be as long as some have previously thought, there is a possibility Kreider is moved. Personally, I’d keep Kreider as a leader in the room as the team continues to transition into the next stages of the franchise.
As for Zuccarello, Friedman mentioned that the Flames are looking for depth on the wings and that the diminutive Norwegian is being thought of as a target by Brad Treliving and Calgary (which was going around a few weeks ago as well). Friedman also confirmed that the Edmonton Oilers had previously taken a look at Zuccarello but have moved on from him, as of now.
