Friedman: Kreider almost traded, Panarin’s agent met with AVS, boils down to 3 teams

Elliotte Friedman dropped his last 31 Thoughts blog for the summer and there are 2 big Rangers notes in there.

This confirms that the Rangers are exploring trading Kreider and that they are likely looking to make room to add Panarin. Removing Kreider’s near 5M AAV and his spot in the lineup is a huge indicator that Panarin would fill that role.

Also, the rumors that Panarin’s agent met with the Avs to discuss his client’s possible interest in Colorado are correct. Today, Panarin is expected to be meeting with the Rangers to talk about what it would be like to play under the bright lights of Madison Square Garden.
