JD addresses Rangers presidency speculation and his reply is telling

ESPN’S Greg Whyshynski caught up with John Davidson to ask him about the speculation that he is likely the next Rangers President.

“I have not talked with anybody with the Rangers…There’s nothing. And until there’s something, there’s nothing. I don’t worry or think about it.”

The article is very brief and JD did explain his close friendship with Glen Sather, but it’s not what he said more than it’s what he didn’t.

This was an opportunity for Davidson to put an end to the speculation and say that he’s staying in Columbus. The fact that he didn’t doesn’t mean he won’t, but this obviously leaves the door wide open for him to return to MSG as the Rangers new President.
