Karlsson signs mega deal with SJ, what’s Panarin worth now

Erik Karlsson got max years and $11.5M from the SJ Sharks and is off the board for July 1st’s opening free agent bell. Even though he didn’t make it there, his new deal is going to have even bigger implications than Jeff Skinner’s $9M boon.
So the big question is this, what will Artemi Panarin be worth on the open market? Some initial reports are saying max years which would be 7 unless someone traded for his rights in order to give him 8. The salary will start now at no less than $11M and some are predicting over $12M.
Correction: Panarin signed a new deal/extension while in Chicago, 7 years is the max term.
These are gargantuan numbers and it will be interesting to see who will step up for his services. Speculation by almost all the top insiders say the Florida Panthers are the favorites now and the Rangers are a close second.
As of right now, the Jackets have not given permission with anyone to speak with Artemi Panarin in order to facilitate a sign and trade.
