Marty St. Louis unlikely to join Rangers coaching staff
Marty St. Louis is enjoying life after the NHL. His favorite role? Being a dad and coach to his young sons’ hockey careers. Coming off the heels of being chosen for the Hockey Hall of Fame, MSL spent this past weekend in Edmonton coaching his son in a hockey tournament.

In a series of tweets, you can get a little insight into where Marty St. Louis’ mindset is at. While the Rangers have had an open invitation to MSL to rejoin the organization it appears that he is dedicated to spending more time with his kids.
Thx much @brickhockey, always fun to be back at it. Looking forward to a great week. Good luck to all. #LGR #CJR https://t.co/73BzXsYAeE

Every game at the end of the American anthem we heard “Let’s Go Rangers” just like at @TheGarden it reminded me of my couple years with @NYRangers. #hockeydad https://t.co/gxR5dNJOz2

The Rangers To Announce Staff This Week
Benoit Allaire will remain as the goalie coach, and it appears that Lindy Ruff has already been announced as an assistant coach per the Rangers website. Jerry Dineen also remains as the video coach.
As for MSL, it is unlikely that he’s ready to leave his family for the rigors of NHL coaching life. Expect the Rangers to add one, maybe two more assistants this week. Former Avs head coach, Joe Sacco who hired Quinn as an assistant there remains a leading candidate.
