McKenzie clarifies his comments on Lundqvist’s timetable to return
The NY Rangers social media newswire went ablaze when TSN’s Bob McKenzie stated on NBCSN’s broadcast Lundqvist could be back in 10-14 days.
McKenzie then took to twitter to explain his comments:
I see NYR beat writers tweeting about what I reported on Henrik Lundqvist’s recovery from injury, so let’s 1st be clear on what I reported.
— Bob McKenzie (@TSNBobMcKenzie) March 5, 2015
I reported Lundqvist saw doctor last week and prognosis was favorable, that his vascular injury is healing nicely.

I reported Lundqvist has been on ice for last 7 to 10 days, not practising with team, but taking shots from shooters, progressing nicely.

I said it’s difficult to put a timeline on it, and NYR will likely err on side of caution because team/Talbot have done well in his absence.

I then speculated that if all continues to go well, it’s not out of the question Lundqvist COULD be back in lineup in 10 to 14 days.

Anyway, no big deal, but I just wanted to clarify in case there was any misunderstanding on what was said or conveyed on @NBCSN segment.

So there you have it. The timetable is not clear and we could still be 3-4 weeks away.
