Mika Zibanejad needed time to collect himself before telling Rangers fans goodbye

Mika Zibanejad tried his best, but the Rangers were outmatched from top to bottom by the Carolina Hurricanes. The result was a three game sweep and a very sad ending to a season with such promise.

The Rangers superstar center needed time to collect his thoughts before saying goodbye to fans. Zibanejad told fans via his Instagram, “[I] had to take some time to gather my thoughts after these playoffs.”

”It was an incredibly disappointing ending to a season with a lot of positives and some growing pains,” he expressed. “I know it was disappointing for all of us but I know we will come back stronger and better.”

Mika ended his statement wishing fans well and to stay safe. It’s obviously been an emotional time for the Rangers and it could get more so soon.
