New York Rangers getting betting action as NHL playoffs begin

The New York Rangers are moving the needle for bettors as the NHL Playoffs begin.

While the Colorado Avalanche still remain the favorite to win the Stanley Cup, there’s been a lot of action on the Blueshirts as of late.

According to BetRivers, the Avs are at +285 with the Florida Panthers second at +550. Colorado opened the season +600 at BetMGM, but improved +325 at the start of the postseason.

The New York Rangers opened the year as a long shot at +2500 but are now at +1600 to commence playoff action, which begins for them tonight against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

In an article at The Daily Goal Horn, the Rangers lead with 30.9% of the handle to win the Eastern Conference despite being at +800 odds. The Presidents Trophy winning Panthers are at 20.9% with a +250.

Additionally, BetRivers states that Rangers have 8.8% of the Stanley Cup winning handle.
