New York Rangers lineup goes with Igor Shesterkin, no changes vs Jets
Igor Shesterkin will get the nod in goal for the New York Rangers as they host the Winnipeg Jets.
In two career games against the Jets he is undefeated with a 2-0-0 record. The netminder has done so on the strength of a 1.05 GAA and a .978 SV% in those contests.
Shesterkin is also coming off a 4-0 shutout on Saturday against the Detroit Red Wings. That was the fifth shutout of the season for him which also brings his career total to seven. The victory was his 35th, which is tied for 9th in Rangers history for a single-season.
This year Shesterkin leads the NHL in GAA (2.05) and SV% 935. He is widely considered the leader in the Vezina Trophy voting for best goalie.

Andrew Copp facing his former team
Copp, 27, was acquired by the Rangers at the NHL Trade Deadline for prospect, Morgan Barron, two conditional second-round picks, and a 2023 5th-round pick in 2023.
Tonight will the first time he faces his former team. The Winnipeg Jets drafted him in the fourth round of the 2013 NHL Draft.
“First and foremost all the friendships,” Copp said about his 7 years with the Jets. “I feel like I had a pretty good relationship with everyone in the room… Not just the players, but the staff and the coaches and everything like that. Obviously, that changes when you come to a new team and it’s been great here as well. But just the amount of people that had an impact on me, that I’m close with there, is kind of hard to measure.”
