The Blueshirts are on track to play Tuesday against the New Jersey Devils. Hopefully the Devils will be able to open up their training facility on Monday in preparation for the game.

Here’s a few notable milestones within reach for the New York Rangers players this week.

Ryan Strome eyeing 100 – twice

Blueshirts center Ryan Strome is just one goal away from 100 in his NHL career. He’s also just two points shy of his 100th point with the Rangers. This would be a great week for him to break out of his own mini-slump and get the offense going.

Strome has no points in his last three games after recording two goals against the Capitals on February 4th. “The only way to change your fortunes is just to get out there and keep working at it,” he said yesterday. “It’s a matter of trying to find a way, here. We’re right there, but in this league, I think you see how small the margin of error is.”

Pavel Buchnevich looking to set Russian milestone

Pavel Buchnevich is also working hard but coming up empty these days. He scored a goal against the Capitals but has been held pointless in the proceeding three games.

His next two points will allow him to pass Sergei Zubov (156) for third most points by a Russian-born player in Rangers history. He’s also 7 assists shy of 100 with the Blueshirts

Jacob Trouba closing in on 500 games

Jacob Trouba has been noticeable every night for the Rangers this season. His partnership with K’Andre Miller has been great for both of them, but the team most importantly.

He is 9 games away from 500 for his career. Obviously this is not within reach this week but notable.
