New York Rangers notes
During the game group skate this morning, Brennan Othmann was skating on the right wing with Vincent Trocheck and Artemi Panarin, but Peter Laviolette said he would not be playing. Now that the game has been moved, it’s possible the prized prospect may get a start on the right side.
“In conversations, [Othmann] said he could play both sides,” Laviolette noted. “He played a good game [on Thurday].”
Othmann. 20, was named the winner of the Lars-Erik Sjoberg Award as the top rookie in camp as selected by the media after picking up 2 assists in 2 preseason games last season. In the loss to the Devils, he registered his first goal with the Blueshirts.
Tomorrow’s lineup could possibly look something as follows:
- Panarin – Trocheck – Kakko
- Cuylle – Bonino – Lafreniere
- Vesey – Leschyshyn – Goodrow
- Sykora – Rempe – Edstrom
- Robertson – Trouba
- Lindgren – Scanlin
- Harpur – Hollowell
- Quick
- Garand
