As I wrote about last week, goalie interference has been a topic of controversy around the NHL this year. Hockey insiders are reporting that the GMs are potentially going to announce changes to the league’s current rules regarding goalie interference.

We won’t know for sure what these potential rule changes will be, but seeing the brass of each team recognizing the issue and addressing it is a step in the right direction.
Lou Lamoriello says he expects something to change with goalie interference, likely dealing with the review process, by the end of the meetings here (Wednesday). He wouldn’t speculate on what it might be because everything is still in the discussion phase.
