Nils Lundkvist open to playing left side defense for Rangers

Rangers blue-chip prospect Nils Lundkvist recently did a Q&A for Blueshirts fans in an ongoing series that will have David Quinn next. As we wait for an official announcement that Nils has signed his ELC for next season here are some key takeaways.

Getting to Know Nils

Nils Lundkvist answered a range of fan questions about being drafted and who he speaks with. Much of these answers were captured in our interview in February. He mentioned his favorite player growing up was Nicklas Lidstrom of the Red Wings and Erik Karlsson. When it comes to Rangers he’s watched play this season, he was particularly impressed and liked Adam Fox’s game. Nils also mentioned how good Tony DeAngelo has been. What you need to know is that both of them and Nils are all right side defensemen.
