Somewhere Ed Snider is smiling. The owner of the Flyers is one the loudest voices in the NHL against the players participating in the Olympics. His voice will not only grow louder but stronger as 2018 participation will be discussed.
John Tavares suffered the devasting injury versus Latvia yesterday when he was driven awkwardly into the boards. Immediately his pain was obvious and he needed help coming off the ice. Arthur Staple broke the news and hearts of Islanders fans this morning, but he added he will be ready for next season.
Matt Duchene will replace Tavares tomorrow in the North America showdown at the Sochi Games.
