Ondrej Pavelec Injured; Rangers Call-Up Georgiev
Ondrej Pavelec started in net for the Rangers Friday against the Calgary Flames, however, he left after the first period due to a leg injury. Henrik Lundqvist played fantastic in relief backstopping the Rangers to a 4-3 win. However, we did not know the extent of Pavelec’s injury until now.

Pavelec will join Kreider, Shattenkirk, Buchnevich, McDonagh, and Staal as the wounded list of Rangers goes up to six.
Subsequently, the Rangers have called up goalie Alexandar Georgiev to back-up Henrik Lundqvist during Pavelec’s absence.

In 31 games with Hartford this season, Georgiev has a 2.97 GAA, and a .908 SV%. Although these stats are not fantastic, Georgiev has turned it up of late, helping the Wolfpack obtain points in ten straight games.
