Practice Report: Fast May Miss Rest of Season
Getty ImagesEarlier today, the Rangers announced that Jesper Fast could miss the final three games of the season.
AV said Fast is dealing with a bad groin that could sideline him for the final three games. Zuccarello also didn’t practice and will be getting an MRI after blocking a shot. He could miss tomorrow’s game in New Jersey. #NYR

As always, Fast has been the hardest working Rangers forward and has had the best offensive season of his career, contributing 13 goals and 20 assists. The Rangers Twittersphere has been abuzz over who the next Rangers captain should be since the Ryan McDonagh trade, and one can make a solid argument that “Quickie” should be the next Blueshirt to don the “C.” His work ethic and never quit attitude is something all Rangers players, future, and present, can learn from and bring to their own games.
In other injury news, Mats Zuccarello was scheduled for an MRI after blocking a shot over the weekend. Zucc’s status is unknown for tomorrow night against the Devils, but there really is no reason for him to play if he won’t be 100% for a meaningless game.
