Practice Report: Lettieri To Hartford, Staal Back At Practice

Moments ago, the Rangers announced that they have sent forward Vinni Lettieri down to Hartford. In addition, Marc Staal is practicing with the team, while Kevin Hayes and Alexandar Georgiev are not.

OFFICIAL: Hayes (maintenance) and Georgiev (flu) are not practicing.

Lettieri was assigned to @WolfPackAHL.

Seeing Lettieri being sent down is not something the Rangers should have done, even if it means that Pavel Buchnevich or Chris Kreider is close to returning. If the Rangers were really all about the rebuild, they’d have freed the roster spot by moving either Cody McLeod or Peter Holland, two guys who are unlikely to be in the team’s future plans.
