Rangers 1st round pick, Kravtsov showing off tantalizing skills

The Rangers were extremely high on Vitali Kravtsov, selecting him 9th overall and passing on goal scorer, Oliver Wahlstrom. At the time, many fans were scratching their heads at the move, but the 18 year old has been showing off some of those impressive skills playing in the Governor’s Cup.

Hockey Sense

So far the kid has shown off a variety of skills in the tournament and his ability to get into the right position has been a plus.

Quick Hands and Nice Moves

The shootout is either hated or loved by fans, but it is a great showcase for a scorer’s skills. Here we can see that Kravtsov has the tools to score on breakaways.

The Kid Can Skate

Another strong suit that many have stressed is Kravtsov’s skating ability. Here you can see his ability to change gears. His skating is smooth and even better, it looks effortless.
