Rangers AHL affiliate, Wolf Pack Add Fun To Their Schedule

The folks that operate the XL Center and the Hartford Wolf Pack unveiled the promotional schedule for the upcoming Wolf Pack campaign.  This season features the annual $2 beer and $1 hot dog Friday nights (9 game), Winning Wednesdays (If the Pack win on Wednesday, then the next game is free, 9 games), and Hockey Happy Hour ($2 beer and $5 appetizers every game before puck drop).  In additional to the usual promotions, Hartford has added a variety of giveaways, theme nights, and specialty jerseys.  Lets’ dive in!

Specialty Jerseys

The first specialty jersey of the season will be on Saturday, November 17th as the Pack hosts “Hockey Fights Cancer Night”.  Hartford will wear black and purple jerseys that will be auctioned off to fans and benefit cancer research charities.

The second jersey has you looking forward to summer!  On Saturday, January 26th, Hartford will wear Hawaiian floral themed jerseys on “Halfway to Summer Luau” night.  The jerseys will be worn then auctioned off benefiting local charities.

The final specialty jersey of the season will be worn on Saturday, March 30th as the Pack will wear superhero themed jerseys.  In minor league hockey, the superhero themed jerseys are becoming popular for teams to do, especially in the ECHL.  The promotion brings in a health number of families attending the game.  Those jerseys will be auctioned and will benefit local charities.

The Pack has worn red alternative jerseys in the previous seasons.  They have a chance of coming back next season.  The information has not been released yet.

Theme Nights

Hartford hosts 12 theme nights.  Each night features a different twist to the game.  A few notable ones is Pride Night (February 8th), Hartford Hockey Heritage Night (February 23rd), and Hockey Fights Cancer (November 17th).

Nights such as 90s throwback night (February 2nd) and Superhero Night (March 30th) features additional game elements.  For instance, 90s night includes the Fanny Pack giveaway.  The superhero night ties in with the lunchbox giveaway, plus the battle of the badges games between firefighters, emergency medical technician, and police officers.  They are our heroes and I am happy that the Pack will pay tribute for their strong efforts beyond their badges.
