Rangers Aiming For The Stars Tonight At MSG
Life without Henrik Lundqvist rolls on for the New York Rangers. His “vascular injury” is set to keep him out at least three weeks, so this gives a great opportunity for Cam Talbot to step in and pick up some valuable wins for his squad.
The Dallas Stars come in cooling off from their hot start to the 2014-15 campaign. They are 4-5-1 in their last 10, but they can score goals like nobody’s business. They currently are ranked 2nd in the league with a goals per game average of 3.1. So the Rangers defense will have some work cut out for them, and according to head coach Alain Vigneault, he said some possible changes might happen on the blue line, but he isn’t 100% sure.
Injury Update: Derek Stepan (flu-like symptoms) will make his return to the lineup tonight after missing yesterday’s 3-2 loss in Nashville.
Jesper Fast (sprained knee) had an MRI done today and the team will not have the results until later on tonight. So his timeline right now is not clear.
