Vesey has been a hardworking member of the Rangers middle-six forwards, though that hard work hasn’t led to the production that everyone has hoped for. Vesey has put up consecutive seasons of 27 points and 28 points, something that would be fine for a player that didn’t come in with the hype that arrived with Vesey. The Rangers originally signed Vesey after he captained the Harvard Crimson hockey team to a third-place finish in the ECAC. These next two years will be Vesey’s opportunity to show that he can be a top performer for these young and promising Blueshirts.
Rangers have reached agreement with Vesey on two-year deal worth $2.275M AAV (2.2/2.35).
