While the top-six forwards are mostly set, the bottom-six is very much up in the air. Lias Andersson, Filip Chytil, Brett Howden, and Boo Nieves will all be battling for the third and fourth line center spots. Ty Ronning, Michael Lindqvist, and Ville Meskanen, three right-handed forwards will be looking to make the jump into the NHL. On defense, Marc Staal, Brady Skjei, and Kevin Shattenkirk are all guaranteed spots on David Quinn’s blueline, leaving a whole slew of players battling it out for the final three openings. Finally, the battle between Alexandar Georgiev, Marek Mazanec, and Dustin Tokarski will all be fighting for the right to be the understudy to Henrik Lundqvist.
