Rangers bolster PK, sign forward Daniel Paille
The Rangers PK has been killing them this season. The loss of Carl Hagelin was a definitive blow to their ability to kill penalties so they went and signed PK specialist, Daniel Paille.
NYR and Paille agree on two way deal. $575,000 (nhl) $100,000(Ahl).

Here’s an excerpt from Blueshirts United:
Paille beat Alain Vigneault for the Stanley Cup in 2011 while with the Bruins, so the coach knows his abilities up close. He is also a former teammate and childhood friends with Dan Girardi.
Dan Girardi on #NYR signing Daniel Paille “He’s a great guy off the ice & on the ice he’s a great skater and a great PK guy”

“We got (Paille) for a particular role–he was an excellent fourth line penalty killer in Boston, & our PK needs some help”-AV #NYR

AV says that Daniel Paille will travel with #NYR to Carolina, not sure if he will play yet

This likely means that Jayson Megna will be returned to Hartford where the Wolf Pack are struggling to score. One other option is to send down Tanner Glass, but that seems unlikely with his solid play thus far. Paille will also wear the #12 and be placed on one of the PK units immediately. Expect him to take a spot on the team’s 4th line.
