Rangers get set for showdown with Ovi and the Caps (WSH at NYR 7pm)
Alex Ovechkin and company invade the Garden tonight looking to halt the Rangers 6 game winning streak. Washington holds 3rd place in the Metro, but a Rangers win tonight will reclaim the spot with 2 games in hand.

FULLTILT FORECAST
Thanks to the current win streak by the Rangers and me fortunate enough to ride it, the Forecast is at 17-14.
The Caps are playing better hockey as of late and will be eager to get this win. To the Rangers advantage, Washington is playing the 2nd game of a back to back. That means the Rangers will need to hit the Caps at every turn and wear them down.
Look for a vintage shutdown performance by McDonagh and Girardi on Ovechkin. Lundqvist should get the start and usually elevates his play for the Caps.
Rangers should give NYR fans an early Christmas gift with a solid 4-2 victory tonight.
