Rangers Prospect Could Head To North America When KHL Season Is Over
In an interview with SportExpress over in Russia, Rangers prospect Vitali Kravtsov said that if HC Traktor don’t qualify for the KHL playoffs, he’d like to finish his year in North America.
Vitaliy Kravtsov told in an interview to @sportexpress that if his team (Traktor Chelyabinsk) won't make the KHL play-offs, he will finish the season in North America. KHL regular season ends on 22nd of February, Traktor is currently 9th in KHL Eastern Conference standings. #NYR

As the tweet above notes, Traktor currently sits ninth in their conference. Like the NHL, the top eight teams in each conference make the playoffs so it will be interesting to see how the rest of the KHL season shakes out.
If Kravtsov does end up coming stateside at the end of the KHL season, conventional wisdom would suggest he’d go right to Hartford and join the Wolf Pack. This way he can get accustomed to the North American style of game as he tries to make the Rangers out of training camp next season.
