Rangers prospects and youngsters showing skills and earning accolades
Many of the Rangers younger players like Filip Chytil and Zac Jones are impressing at the World Championships in Latvia. Same can be said for their prospects Braden Schneider who is with Team Canada and Matthew Robertson in the WHL.
Filip Chytil scores shootout winner; WC update
Yesterday, Chytil scored the shootout winner for the Czech Republic in their win over Denmark. He also added an assist in the game and has totaled four points through six contests at the World Championships.
Zac Jones has been excellent for Team USA, with head coach Jack Capuano calling him “elusive” with the puck. The 20 year-old rearguard has two assists in six games and has a plus/minus rating of +3.

Braden Schneider has one assist and an even rating in his six tournament games. The Rangers coveted second 1st round selection of the 2020 draft is developing quickly and may push for a spot on the roster sooner than many originally thought.
Rangers prospects earning accolades
The Blueshirts WHL prospects Matthew Robertson and Schneider have earned accolades this week. Both were named to their divisional All-Star Teams for the season. Last week, both Tarmo Reuanen and Morgan Barron earned similar AHL honors.
