Rangers have lineup questions as they prepare to face rival Devils
The New Jersey Devils are currently out of a playoff spot, and I’m sure the New York Rangers would love to keep it that way.
Nothing would be sweeter for the Blueshirts, who suffered a first round exit at the hands of the Devils last season, to play a part in their postseason exclusion. However, Thursday’s tilt could be difficult with both Artemi Panarin and Jimmy Vesey nursing injuries.
“We’ll see [Thursday],” coach Peter Laviolette said about their availability. “Right now, they’re day to day.”
New York called up prospect Brennan Othmann today, and have veteran Alex Belzile ready to go if necessary.

New York Rangers vs New Jersey Devils
The Rangers’ 77 points are tops in the Metro Division, as they hold a six point lead over the second-place Carolina Hurricanes. Meanwhile, the Devils are four points behind the Detroit Red Wings for the final wild card spot in the Eastern Conference.
New York is riding an eight game winning streak, their longest of the season. They also have points in their last 10 games (9-1-1).
Across the Hudson River, New Jersey has been very inconsistent this year and dropped their last contest to the Washington Capitals 6-2. They are 3-3-1 in their last seven matches.
