The Minnesota native was signed by the Rangers during the summer of 2017 from the USHL as an undrafted free-agent. Pionk, who was one of the final cuts in training camp, has produced 17 points (G, 16A) in 48 games this season, including eight assists in his last twelve games. Pionk introduced himself to Rangers fans on September 18th, when he scored this gorgeous OT goal in the preseason against the Islanders. The Rangers blue line has been putrid this season, and bringing up the kids to see what they can do is the right move, especially with this team being sellers at the trade deadline.
