Rangers Return To Practice Without Zuccarello
The Rangers returned practice today without Mats Zuccarello and his fellow Olympians. Zucc will be evaluated later today by team doctors sometime after 1:30PM.Â
In some much needed good news, Derek Dorsett returned to practice in a yellow non-contact jersey. Head Coach Alain Vigneault stated that Dorsett is on track and should be ready to go when the Rangers’ resume NHL play on February 27th. If not, JT Miller would surely get the call.
Vigneault would not speculate on the status of Mats Zuccarello’s injury until he was seen by the doctors today. Clarification that the injury occurred not on a shot block but a slash against Austria. Initial word out of Sochi was this was a minor injury with a quick healing time. Let’s see if NY doctors concur.
Andrew Gross tweeted out the NYR practice schedule before the season resumes. The info is provided below.
As for #NYR practice schedule, on ice again tomorrow, training camp-like on-ice testing Sat. off Sun. Practice Mon, Tues, Weds, game Thurs.
