Rangers Roundup: Eyes on 2019 UFA’s, upgrading toughness, RFA’s, and more
Recapping the weekend on Forever Blueshirts.
2019 UFA Pool Has Many Game Changers
This weekend we looked at the list of potential UFA’s and identified several big names that could accelerate the Rangers rebuild next summer.
The biggest names in the group are Tyler Seguin and Artemi Panarin. Either one of these potential UFA’s would be a game changer that will turn the Rangers into contenders quickly.
McLeod is not Good Enough
The Rangers re-signed Cody McLeod last week but need to upgrade. A player like Chris Stewart would bring more legitimacy to the enforcer role, plus bring more to the table on the Rangers 4th line. He’s available as are players like Scott Hartnell and former Blueshirt, Tanner Glass.
We reason out signing one of those three here.
RFA’s
Just a reminder of the Rangers RFA’s arbitration dates:
July 30-Vesey; July 31-Skjei; Aug. 2-Hayes; Aug. 4-Spooner. https://t.co/4OFKc39GrV

Libor Hajek is confident and I love it
Newsday’s latest Rangers column goes over two young Rangers prospect blue liners, Ryan Lindgren and Libor Hajek. Here’s a quote from Hajek on making the team out of camp and I love it.
That’s the swagger I like to see in prospects.
