Rangers Roundup: Glencross talk again, NYR 2015-16 outlook and more…

As the long summer continues, we round up some of the NYR oriented stories around the web. Let’s begin with the Curtis Glencross chatter.

Would the Rangers add Glencross?

Allan Muir speculates that Curtis Glencross could be willing to lower his contract demands to sign with a contender.

NYR Fantasy/Reality Hockey Predictions

We’re a few months away from hockey season, but fantasy magazine and websites have already started prognosticating for the upcoming season. Here’s what’s out there.

Dobber Fantasy Hockey: The Division has five really good teams, and Philadelphia can score. Of the five really good teams, the Penguins are the only one without potential breakout candidates ready to enter their prime…The Rangers have Chris Kreider and Kevin Hayes…The New York Rangers are still three lines deep offensively…The answer to the question, for me, is I’m not quite as intrigued by Braden Holtby, Sergei Bobrovsky, Cory Schneider, and especially Marc-Andre Fleury. Henrik Lundqvist is still a top-five lock, though.

I agree with Dobber but TVA’s stat predictions are way too low and off. Especially stating that Derek Stepan is regressing. At 25? This will be a career year for Stepan…mark that one down.

Rick Nash Will Finally Win Over His Critics in 2015-2016

Sean Hartnett of CBS writes that this is the year for Rick Nash.

While I don’t disagree with this…unless the Rangers win the Cup, he will never win over his critics in NY.
