Rangers Roundup: Henrik Lundqvist dazzles celebrities, Will Cuylle an All Star, and Jake Leschyshyn claimed
Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden in the heart of New York City, there were stars both on the ice and in the stands.
New York Rangers legend Henrik Lundqvist played host to actors Ryan Reynolds and Alexander Skarsgård, who both gave the handsome former goalie a big smooch on the cheek as they watched the Blueshirts defeat the Minnesota Wild in a shootout.

Sandwiched in between two of Hollywood’s hottest celebrities, Lundqvist first got a kiss from Skarsgård, who recently starred in The Northman.
That was followed up by a smooch from Ryan Reynolds the star of Marvel’s Dead Pool franchise. The actor is also looking to form a group to buy the Ottawa Senators.
“About last night,” Lundqvist tweeted. “Alex Skarsgard was a little tired from shooting my favorite show Succession all day. Ryan, well he was just so excited to watch his first Rangers game at the Garden. All around a great night at the World’s most famous arena that ended with a big W for the good guys.”
In September, MSG Sports and MSG Entertainment announced Lundqvist as Ambassador of Madison Square Garden.
“I’m so grateful and excited to start my new role as Ambassador of Madison Square Garden,” Lundqvist said at the time. “I look forward to working with the amazing people within The Garden family and participating in a variety of new endeavors.”
It looks like Hank is really enjoying his role with the organization.
Will Cuylle named to AHL All Star Game
On Tuesday, the AHL announced that New York Rangers prospect, Will Cuylle has been named to the 2023 All-Star Classic. He will represent the Hartford Wolf Pack for the Atlantic Division.
The annual event will be held at Place Bell in Laval on Sunday, February 5th, and Monday, February 6th.
Selected in the second round of the 2020 Draft, the 20 year-old rookie has registered 10 goals and 17 points in 33 games this season.
Rangers claim Jake Leschyshyn
The New York Rangers claimed Vegas Golden Knights forward Jake Leschyshyn off waivers on Wednesday.
A second round pick of the Knights from 2017, the 23 year-old has no points in 22 games this season. He has recorded 38 hits, 8 blocks, with a -7 rating.
For his career, the youngster has amassed six points (2G – 4A) in 41 games.
