Rangers Roundup: Kakko update, and RFA hope?
Here’s the latest buzz around the Blueshirts.
The Rangers had a rough start to the Traverse City Tournament but the let down started for fans way before that. Kaapo Kakko was held out of the game as he continues to be “under the weather”. Late last night, The Athletic’s Scott Wheeler gave us this update.
Brendan Lemieux news
Unsigned RFA Brendan Lemieux was spotted skating on his own at the Rangers training facility this week. Per multiple sources, he was off limits to the press. This is an encouraging sign and Lemieux recently commented on a tweet by teammate Artemiy Panarin on Instagram that maybe is a good sign.
You have to admit, when Panarin posts a photo of him wearing a shirt that says “New York Or Nowhere” and Lemieux replies with a Statue of Liberty emoji, it can’t be considered a bad sign.
