Rangers Roundup: K’Andre Miller a superstar, DeAngelo fallout continues, and more
It took one period of K’Andre Miller’s NHL career to shake off the nerves and start to become one of the Rangers best defenseman. Honestly, some would say Adam Fox is the team’s best due to his offensive numbers, but Miller has just one point less without PP time. If you also take into account his work in the d-zone it’s Miller by a landslide.

K’Andre Miller becoming a superstar for the Rangers
I want to preface everything here with a simple fact, Miller is a 21 year-old rookie. That makes everything he’s done up until this point even more impressive.
So far in the early going of his career, he has 4 points in 8 games. While some disregard plus/minus it is noteworthy to indicate the rookie leads all Rangers with a +7.
Miller currently is average 18:07 of ice time per game, but you can expect to see this start to go up now. With Tony DeAngelo on waivers and unlikely to continue his career on Broadway, Miller (if he hadn’t already) has jumped into the team’s top 4 on defense.
A superstar developing right before our eyes.

More details on DeAngelo fallout
There is a lot to unpack here as David Quinn alluded to yesterday.
Today, Elliotte Friedman on his 31 Thoughts Podcast detailed what happened between Tony DeAngelo and Alexandar Georgiev. According to what he learned, Georgiev was upset after the loss when DeAngelo made a sarcastic comment his way. This prompted Georgiev to hit DeAngelo and thus the altercation.
This info was followed up by Larry Brooks noting that K’Andre Miller helped break up the fight and Vince Mercogliano learning that Miller reached out to DeAngelo via text afterwards to see how he was.
Yesterday, another report was refuted by Greg Wyshynski of ESPN. It involved an alleged incident between DeAngelo and Miller regarding his first goal puck.
