Rangers Roundup: King Henrik Back On The Ice and THN Rankings
Here are the latest rumblings around Rangerstown!
King Henrik Returns To His Throne
Rangers netminder Henrik Lundqvist posted this video of him back on the ice at the MSG Training Center, and Rangers social media was in a frenzy!

The Rangers and their fans are all hoping that Henrik can return to his form of year’s past. The play in front of him won’t be as good as it was then, but there were plenty of times last season where the blame lied solely on Henrik; most notably some of the goals against that came in the first few minutes of a game.
THN Rankings
Sam McCaig posted a unique ranking yesterday for The Hockey News. McCaig took a look at each team’s top defenseman and ranked them 1-31. Unfortunately for us Rangers fans, we won’t be happy with the results. McCaig has Kevin Shattenkirk as the Rangers representative on this list and he is ranked dead last, being surpassed by Chris Tanev of the Canucks and Nate Schmidt of the Vegas Golden Knights to name a couple. The author argues that while Shattenkirk is a star on the power-play, not being able to kill penalties hurt him in the rankings. Now that David Quinn is the team’s new head coach, perhaps Shattenkirk will also be given PK responsibilities.
